Baby Shoe Template

Ingredients & Tools

  •  Rolling pin
  • Small paint brush
  •  Knife
  •  Stitching tool
  • Piping round tip, 0,5 mm
  • Wooden stick
  • Fondant extruder
  • 150 g gumpaste (100 white/50 colored)

Tutorial Step by Step

  1. Print the shoe template. It is recommended  to print them on thick scrapbook paper.
    Use scissors to cut out the relevant shapes. 
  2.  Cut out all the pieces in gum paste.
  3.  Mark the seems with a stitching tool and cut out the holes with the tip.
  4. Shape the legs by rolling out the fondant into a long thin shape, and then form the feet by gently pinching the end.
  5. Brush the edge of the "tongue" lightly with edible glue and attach to the front of the shoe. Put some plastic wrap inside the shoe so it won't collapse.
  6.  Attach the "upper"  part the same way.
  7. Glue the "toe" piece in place.
  8. Add the "front toe strip" and finally the "back shoe strip" .
  9.  Fold and glue the "back tab" to the back of the shoe. 
  10. Make the laces and the bow using a Fondant extruder.
  11. Attach laces and bow with edible glue. Leave to dry.
