The ruby anniversary is a special one. Spending 40 years together is a great opportunity to celebrate!
This is my first seaside cake for couple's 40th wedding anniversary.This special  cake travelled from Ipswich to Wales over 288 miles.

I was asked by my customers to bake a seaside cake using primary colors and as you can see in the photos this is the cake I came up with. 

The top tier is gluten free and dairy free vanilla cake and the bottom tier is a lemon cake with lemon buttercream .

For creating the sand I have crushed digestive biscuits.  I filled seashell molds with fondant and  brushed with snowflake lustre and scattered on the sand. On the top tier of the cake I have placed  two deck chairs  and umbrella that were made from gum paste using  JEM cutters.
