Bright Geometric Semi-Naked Cake Topper Tutorial
I've been wanting to
try a geometric cake for a while now; I’ve seen them done in beautiful shapes
and colors. It was my husband’s birthday and it was the perfect excuse to try
it at last. I also am a big fan of naked cakes. So the combination of both turned
out really nice. I did use a short dummy cake underneath this cake to make it a
bit taller so that the effect of the pattern looks nicer. I also added
grosgrain ribbons just on top of the triangles to make it look nicer and still
following the same color pattern. I like bold colors and so does my husband but
you can try doing this in any color combination you like. Pastel colored
triangles would look really nice on a white-ganached cake.
Layers of light chocolate cake and dark chocolate ganache with a cranberry chocolate cream make up the cake.
A tutorial for the geometric flower is included.
