The Story behind this Cake
A four tier cake, rich fruit cake covered euthanasia marzipan and fondant, lemon cake with lemon buttercream and fondant, chocolate cake with galaxy chocolate buttercream and find and the last tier vanilla with morello cherry conserve and vanilla buttercream also covered with fondant.
I made each rose with gumpaste using edible glue made from tylose and water for securing to a cocktail stick rather than wire for attaching to the cake and stored them in a cardboard box with lid until required. The lace is claire bowman pearl white cake lace mix. I was a little concerned about placing all the roses down one side of a mainly sponge cake but had no problems with the weight of them. I stuck each cocktail stick into the cake securing with a little royal icing to hold in place and the result was stunning. I love tugs cake and hope you do too Share a cake by Kim's Cakes Worksop |
