The Story behind this Cake
This is my Batman Love Wedding cake which was inspired by Stiletto Studio from New Zealand.
My Bride and Groom were having a Superhero Wedding in June 2015 and wanted an Epic cake.You couldn't get more epic than this. My couple are Gamer's and Comic fans so this half /Half cake really summed op their life and loves I used Quaint cakes recipes for this cake, One being the Deep Red Velvet cake and the Deep Vanilla Madeira cake. Both beautiful indulgent cakes. I also used Kluman and Balter Sugar paste as it achieves a Beautiful finish and tastes lovely. The key decorating Tool used for this cake was my Cassie Brown Airbrush, its perfect to achieve the black/purple finish on the Batman side and gives a lovely soft effect to the middle of the flowers. The flowers were deceptively easy as I used a rose petal cutter and lay the edges of each petal along the next and lay the flower in a silicone Cupcake case , giving it a 3D effect. The Batman logo was hand painted using Progel by Rainbow Dust Black and a touch of cocoa butter. Every stage of this cake had its own complications and but I can honestly say its my favorite cake to date and I cant wait to do more half and Half cakes.
